Erika Wilhite: producer

maddest (w)rung productions

Erika Wilhite created maddest (w) rung productions out of necessity. She found herself in the producer seat more than twice, so she felt it was time to give the creative force a name. Since her marketing material needed a logo, she used a random word generator and settled on the first two words that came up.

As a company, maddest (w)rung is dedicated to producing work of social value and artistic integrity. The production choices are inspired by the layers that we build up by living on Earth—those which we leave behind—but which leave a deep residual. It is a production company that strives to make a quality contribution to those layers so that what is left behind can be relevant and personal.

But because there is meaning in everything and nothing is accidental, maddest (w)rung stands for the exhausted and euphoric state of being wrung of truth and left with the startling clarity of the madman.

Or maybe it is a rung with which we pull ourselves up, climbing through one liminal state to another in a rage that surpasses all other rages. The ragest of rages.

Or maybe it is just nonsense. And of course, there is meaning in that too.
